Home of the do-it-yourself Atmospheric Indoor Revitalizer (A.I.R.) guide plans. Take off the shelf parts and turn high tech air purification technology into an affordable low tech solution for fighting back against mold, bacteria, and viruses.

Our goal is affordable high tech solutions for the mold afflicted

Avoid despair by cleaning the air

DIYAIR.org was created by someone who suffered from mold mycotoxin related illness. During his research he discovered that air filters typically do not do anything against the tiny insidious mycotoxins floating around our contaminated indoor environments. These mycotoxins easily penetrate our bodies and wreak havoc.  Photo Catalytic Oxidation Hydroxyl generating technology (PCO) was one of the few things to show promise in the fight against airborne mycotoxins — But the technology being marketed for the mold afflicted was thousands of dollars!

About us

Victimhood? Never!

After developing ever increasing muscle and joint aches to the point that normal aging and typical work-related wear and tear was finally ruled out and then experiencing exponentially increasing “ice pick” stabbing pains at random locations, strange and unpleasant stomach and breathing issues, culminating in other symptoms that made cancer appear to be a likely diagnosis — mold was finally suggested as a possible cause.

A mycotoxin lab test confirmed the suspicions but this was only the beginning.  Going deep into the rabbit hole it became apparent how hopeless many mold victims are.  They are beaten down and weakened by tiny invisible toxins that make them even weaker. They are often unable to live anywhere else and yet it is their very environment that is torturing them! After devouring books, listening to every mold related health podcast, and scouring nearly every mold related Facebook group, it became apparent that some people were able to stay in their homes and buy themselves just a little bit of time or react a little bit less in a new environment when they made use of Photocatalytic Oxidation Hydroxyl (PCO) air treatment devices.

This intrigue began the effort to put together the cheapest way someone could mimic the expensive technology selling for thousands of dollars, for a fraction of the price. Off the shelf items were selected as much as possible so that they could be assembled easily.  The few parts that could not be found from off the shelf parts were created in 3D print files that would be made available to assemble the remaining parts.

How can we help you

Our only goal right now is to make this technology that gave us hope easily and affordably available to those who need it. If we make any money doing this, we hope that it will be enough to pay for the hosting of this website and the development costs of getting this “out there.”

We rate our efforts highly!
